From Prom Date to Soul Mate: Inside Our Wedding Day

What a day! What a beautiful, joyous, day.

Hands down, the B E S T day of my life. Looking out into a room filled with all of your favorite people, knowing that you're surrounded by so, so much love all while you get to marry your very best friend - that feeling is, well, indescribable.

Brandon and I have been together for almost ten years. Wow! Half the time we can't believe it has been that long. We met at a high school football game and well, the rest is history. Isn't that what everybody says? Since the young age of 16, life has given our relationship its fair share of challenges - high school, college, long distance, career changes. But through it all, we haver grown as individuals and as a couple and here we are today - at the most joyous day of our lives. No really, I wish I could bottle up the happiness in that white, sparkly, reception tent and keep it for a rainy today.

When it comes to a wedding, there is SO much we could talk about - and I sure do want to get to every detail. It was such a fun yet daunting planning process but I was so proud of myself for remaining calm through it all with my focus on what truly mattered - I was marrying my best friend! But, we will save that for another post (I promise!).

So for today, let's just talk about T H E D A Y. Our day.

For one, it was more than I could have ever dreamed of. I don't know if I can even come up with the right words to explain how dreamy, fun, full of love, laughter, tears, and joy our day was. Although a wedding is about the love and commitment between a bride and a groom, the reception however is only as wonderful as the people you surround yourself with. On June 14, 2019 I was truly shown that if you put love and light out into the world, people see it and you will receive it in return.

Right after we ate our salads and right before we at our dinner, we paused, and looked around the room to take in this beautiful gathering we had planned for months and months. From our parents, to our families, our friends, to our vendors and honestly, the coolest bridal party EVER (watch, you'll see), everyone was simply happy.

Whether you're a bride-to-be, a groom, or simply a guest at a wedding, take a moment to pause and absorb the magic that is around you. I know, everybody says this. Trust me, I heard it a million times too but it is so true. You deserve that moment.
